Laurance Prescott, PhD is a Director at Lumen. Over the course of his career as an economist and statistician, he has served as an expert witness in litigation matters evaluating damages and intellectual property infringement in a wide range of industries. He has extensive experience in IP matters having provided expert analysis of damages and testimony in patent, trademark, trade dress and trade secret disputes. Dr. Prescott is also retained in matters involving antitrust claims, econometric and statistical analysis. In the area of insurance claims, Dr. Prescott specializes in statistical and mathematical analysis of data related to complex business interruption losses.
Dr. Prescott was formerly a Director of Economics and Statistics at a Big 4 accounting firm and as an Adjunct Professor, Department of Economics, Texas Christian University. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Dallas Christian College. He is currently teaching a course in Microeconomics at Dallas Christian College.
Dr. Prescott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from The University of Illinois at Urbana and an MBA and PhD in Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
